I spent the previous night in Binbrook and woke to a rather nice day. I decided to go out for a few photographs although I didn't get a very early start. I arrived at Copetown by 1000 but nothing happened for a long time.

I was a bit sleepy from sitting around at Copetown for so long so I thought a change of scenery would be good. I drove through Brantford and found train 301 working. I drove on ahead to Paris. I missed train 148 en route but got to Paris Junction in time to see Via train 72.

Canadian National was very quiet but after a while I heard on the scanner that RaiLink was in Brantford and heading down the Hagersville Subsivision. I drove to Caledonia to photograph the train crossing the Grand River.
- 1703 Caledonia - SOR southbound - SOR 5005-RLK 1755
- 1727 Hagersville - SOR southbound - SOR 5005-RLK 1755

- 1747 8th Concession, Garnet - SOR southbound - SOR 5005-RLK 1755
When I got to Nanticoke a job was switching the Esso plant. Before long it emerged to meet with the southbound.
- 1806 3rd Concession, Nanticoke - SOR switcher - RMPX 9431-RLK 4057
The southbound's power was cut off. The switcher then pulled the cars clear thereby enabling the southbound to run around its train.

Well it was getting late so I turned for home. I've long desired to photograph a train crossing the Grand River in Caledonia. Happily today I got my chance.
