Trackside Log for Friday, March 17, 2006

Today Sam and I were headed to Montreal for the St. Patrick's Day Parade held on Sunday. We had just visited her parents in Carrying Place when I heard that three CP trains were to meet in nearby Brighton. I took a slight detour to catch them. I didn't figure it would take long.

• 1129 Brighton - CN westbound - CN 4138-CN 4112
• 1143 Brighton - CN eastbound - CN xxxx-CN xxxx
• 1143 Brighton - CP eastbound - CP xxxx-SOO 6061-SOO 6004
• 1151 Brighton - CP 241 west - CP 8647-SOO 6001-CP 9504

I was right. In less than 30 minutes we had three CP and three CN trains (one I couldn't see behind a CP train). Not bad. We then continued on to Montreal.
