Trackside Log for Saturday, March 4, 2006

It was a cloudy morning but I wanted to get outside for a while. I drove over to Merritton for 0830 to see what was happening. As it turned out, very little was going on. The first train I'd see was Via 97.

• 1004 Merritton - Via 97 east - AMTK 709
• 1034 Merritton - NS 328 east - NS 9770-NS 2516

NS 328 snuck up on me so I drove ahead of it to Cook's Mills. During the trip I noticed that the sky was clearing. Things were looking good.

I had heard earlier that CN 339 dropped two NS engines off in track 99 at Fort Erie for NS 369 to lift. I went to have a look.

• 1152 Fort Erie - lift for NS 369 - NS 7550-NS 8315
• 1158 Fort Erie - NS 328 east - NS 9770-NS 2516
• 1451 Fort Erie - CN 333 east - CN 2639

OK. That was slow even by Grimsby and Stamford subdivision standards. Oh well.
