Sam and I were heading home from Montreal today after the
St. Patrick's Day Parade the previous day. We took the scenic route through Vermont and New York. The weather was perfect for it. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the mountains looked amazing. We stopped off at St. Albans, Vermont to see what might be parked at the New England Central.
- 1218 St. Albans, VT - NECR power - GSWR 1901
- 1220 St. Albans, VT - NECR power - NECR 3848
- 1221 St. Albans, VT - NECR power - NECR 3857-NECR 3840-NECR 5032
- 1224 St. Albans, VT - NECR power - CSOR 8552-NECR 3854
NECR 3854 was looking a little sad with a missing prime mover and traction motors. After a really nice drive through the mountains we stopped at the Vermont Railway in Rutland where a Clarendon & Pittsford GP38-2 was parked.

After Rutland Sam and I drove straight home. The drive through the mountains was a really nice ending to this year's sojourn to the Montreal St. Patrick's Day Parade.
