Missy and I were just getting our day in motion when, like so often happens, I heard horns approaching from the north. I got my camera and drove back to River Road for a photograph.
CP 6017 is another dual flag SD40-2 that is looking pretty grim these days.
Later that afternoon train 255 obtained a clearance out of Welland Yard with an Item 4 against train 626. Missy and I drove over to Boyle for a photograph of the ethanol train.
The original locomotive consist for train 626 included a pair of NRE SD40-2s. Somewhere along the way Canadian Pacific set those off and added the ES44AC to the front. I suspect London.
Since train 255 wouldn't be very long Missy and I waited around at the Boyle Road crossing for it. After 30 minutes I could see the headlight approaching in the distance.
By this time Missy was getting pretty hot in the midday sun so we returned home for refreshments.
