I woke up to sunshine and resolved to find some trains around the Paris area. CN train 148 was coming so I went to Paris West. It was a tie.
- 0930 Paris West - CN 148 east - CN 2583-CN 5421-CN 5673
I was wondering why there were way more people beside the tracks in Paris than normal. When I drove past the Paris fair grounds I realized why. The Paris train show was this weekend. I'd totally forgotten about it. I then moved on to Princeton.
- 1043 Princeton - CN 394 east - BNSF 4749-RLCX 8512-CN 5544
- 1052 Princeton - CN 385 west - CN 2596-BNSF 6824-CN 2651
CN train 394 was to lift cars in Paris Junction but was unable to receive the paperwork. They ran light power to Brantford to get their paperwork there and then light power back.
- 1149 Paris - CN 394 east - BNSF 4749-RLCX 8512-CN 5544 (light power returning west)
- 1220 Paris - CN 587 east - CN 7039
- 1236 Paris - Via 72 east - VIA 918
- 1241 Paris - CN 394 east - BNSF 4749-RLCX 8512-CN 5544
- 1259 Paris - CN 398 east - CN 2639-CN 2597
I decided to head over to Eatonia for a change of scenery.
- 1323 Eatonia - Via 73 west - VIA 914/VIA 6424
- 1346 Eatonia - CN 330 east - CN 2659-GCFX 6079-CN 2548
I heard a CP westbound train get a clearance from Guelph Junction to Orr's Lake and then another to Nissouri. They met CP train 248 east with CP 9765 leading at Orr's Lake. I headed for Ayr to photograph the westbound.
- 1448 Ayr - CP 241 west - CEFX 1030-CP 9836
I was getting tired so I began my trek home. I stopped by Great Western Model Trains in Brantford first where I purchased three CP Difco dump cars. All in all it was a good day.
