Trackside Log for Monday, January 2, 2006

OK, it was a rather miserable, gloomy day but I headed trackside anyway for the first time in 2006. Since the weather blew I didn't feel like venturing very far. I just went to Merritton again.

• 1014 Merritton - Via 97 east - AMTK 712
• 1017 Merritton - CN 422 west - CN 2560-CN 2631

I heard that NS train 327 was coming and I felt like a change of scenery so I drove to Beamsville. Without warning NS 328 showed up. I only managed a going away shot but it was light power.

• 1228 Beamsville - NS 328 east - NS 9433-BNSF 5016
• 1304 Beamsville - NS 327 west - UP 4692-NS 6665

I was getting rather tired of the rain so I called it quits and returned home.
