Trackside Log for Friday, January 13, 2006

It was a cloudy day but I decided to take some work with me trackside anyway. I headed for Merritton where 422 was approaching.

• 0859 Merritton - CN 422 west - CN 5281-CN 5331
• 1006 Merritton - Via 97 east - AMTK 713
• 1051 Merritton - NS 328 east - NS 9857-NS 3043

The NI dispatcher stopped NS 328 as it passed me because of a track problem at mile 5.85 on the north track. A foreman was sent over to inspect the track before any trains were to pass. After a while a foreman cleared 328 over the problem with a 25 mph speed restriction.

By then I'd done all the work I could trackside so I returned home.
