Trackside Log for Thursday, January 5, 2006

I started the day off by staying home sick but was feeling a bit better and claustrophobic by a little after noon. I headed to Merritton to see if anything was going on. Trillium came down the hill. They were pushing a tank car so I drove to the Kemira plant.

• 1407 St. Catharines - Trillum Railway - TR 110

Trillium lifted the existing car and took it back to the yard to exchange it for the car to be delivered. I figured I'd have time for take-out before he'd be back.

• 1433 St. Catharines - Trillum Railway - TR 110

Two CN eastbounds were on the way so I went back to Merritton.

• 1452 Merritton - CN 154 east - CN 2578
• 1512 Merritton - CN 330 east - CN 5622-CN 2520

It was getting rather dark so I called it a day. However, to try out my new GPS I went to St. Catharines station later in the evening.

• 1914 arr/1919 dep St. Catharines - Via 95 east - VIA 907

That was fun. This would be my train for the next morning.
